Lunch was great! We met at Bombay Bistro in the Arboretum area. I asked if we could meet somewhere closer to my work so that I wouldn't have to spend half my lunch driving, and he has a much more flexible schedule. He suggested two places and the Yelp! reviews were great for this one, and they were absolutely right. They have a reasonably priced and delicious lunch buffet- not your typical curry Indian food, but some really great choices. Atmosphere was nice too- way more than I was expecting from a random shopping center restaurant.
We happened to be walking up at the same time which made meeting inside less awkward. He has really sexy salt and pepper hair, though was a bit shorter than I was hoping for. He said 5'10, and that's probably exactly how tall he is. I just always forget how short that sometimes feels next to me. We got a table and talked for a little bit, but we were both pretty hungry and decided to hop in line. Easy opportunity to ask if there are any foods he does not like (remember the no dairy, no sugar eating Professor?). Turns out the only thing he doesn't is red meat. I can totally live with that.
Back at the table conversation flowed easily. Fortunately he is not recently divorced, as I was afraid he might be. But it did lead to a candid conversation about his youngest son. I won't go into details just yet, but it's not my favorite situation. Still not the end of the world though. Overall he was really personable, easy to talk to, and I really enjoyed sharing lunch with him. It ended with a hug and he said he had a nice time and that we should do it again. I told him that he knew how to reach me and that I would like to get together again as well. Ball is in his court, so we'll see what happens. Whatever happens, I'm glad I went.

Yay! Sounds like fun. Still doesn't measure up to that $2,000 brunch at Ocean Prime though, huh??
I love Bombay Bistro. Yum!
